Design your character: Design what your character looks like. Offer a wide range of hair and skin colors and genders (allow options for transgender individuals, etc.)
Choose your background: muggle-born half-blood or pure-blood.
Depending on your background, you are presented with a series of choices during the tutorial phase of the game. This section would include short chapters on the day you receive your letter, the day you shop for supplies in Diagon Ally, and the day you leave for Hogwarts. The choices you make during this section will either determine your house, or will narrow it down to two, from which the Sorting Hat will decide after you have a conversation with it.
Your companions and possible romance characters will come from all four houses. However, you will get to know some of them better than others depending on your house. And depending on your house, they will all react to you differently. They will be diverse.
The games take place the same year as the Epilogue. We meet the HP characters’ kids, and some of them are companions and/or romances. The story will be new, and won’t involve You-Know-Who as he’s gone. Another threat has descended on Hogwarts, and it’s up to you to stop it.

one of my biggest pet peeves is when adults give u dirty looks for being on social media or talking with friends you’ve met online, just because the ways of socializing aren’t the same as urs were doesn’t make them “wrong” get ur head out of ur ass and write letters to ur friends with a quill if ur so against modern technology
my favorite is when you pull out your phone for oNe seconD to reply to a text or even just check the time and any adult within a mile radius flies the fuck in and is like oH TEENAGERS THESE DAYS ALWAYS ON THEIR PHONES

i hate when people complain about how technology is “ruining everything.” i have over 200 pictures of my dog on my phone and i can send them to my friends when they are sad. how is that ruining anything. why do you hate happiness

Random Headcanon: The reason the Wizarding World in Harry Potter uses such arse-backwards technology isn’t cultural elitism. (Well, not entirely.) Rather, it’s because if you enchant anything more complicated than a screwdriver, it tends to become sentient over time. Devices that use electricity are particularly bad for this, and almost always “wake up” eventually. Arthur Weasley’s car going rogue and running off to live in a forest is actually a fairly favourable outcome; the students still tell horror stories about what happened to the guy who smuggled in (and subsequently enchanted) a digital wristwatch.
